The colourful Sonnevanck hotel, restaurant and bar is located in Wijk aan Zee, just a hundred metres from one of the widest beaches in the Netherlands. Here, the equally colourful guests enjoy being pampered by cheerful staff. Grandma is enjoying time there with her grandchildren, while their young parents finally have a chance to paint the town. A backpacker can be heard philosophising with other people at his table, and the businessman is there for a meeting with some colleagues. Locals pop in for a coffee or to flavour the dish of the day, and in the corner thinkers sit pondering over a chess board.
